.stl has a number of drawbacks, like no convention about the scale of th model. Therefore, the

.3mf format is more and more the standard for 3D-printing, so supporting ir would make things easier for 3D printers.

Hopefully now the major slicers for fdm support a version of step well see more support for that in other slicers.

This would be a nice to have, but this is also the reason why I used STEP exports. You retain the curve geometry too.

I would really love a .3mf export option. .STL format is showing it's age...
