ability to move grouped items as a group
Frédéric MASSELOT
You cannot develop a hierarchy of objects on the parent-child model with inheritances of positions in 3D space. The groups are just collections with a hierarchy in the Outliner that is moreover convenient for arrangement and selection but with a limited scope in my opinion. But be careful, Plasticity is a part modeler more than a tool for assembling parts, as can be found in CAD and computer graphics.

this is one of my favorite things about windows 3d builder. I can group a bunch of objects and that group moves as a unit and can boolean actions can be used on the group as a unit. When the group is disbanded, the items retain what actions were done to them but are allowed to move their separate ways and be used in other areas as individuals.

We rarely get the chance to say anything good about SketchUp, but its group and instance management is incredibly efficient. There’s no need to use an outliner to draw; everything is done directly in the window. I’d love to have something similar in Plasticity.

You can press Alt + click in the outliner or Alt + click in the wiewport in Object mode.
This method works for simple projects, but when projects become a bit more complex, with dozens of elements and groups involved, it quickly becomes difficult to manage. I think the way groups are managed in Plasticity needs to be reconsidered.

Yes. True groups, not just collections being called groups.
