Adaptive Curvature comb scale

I attached two screenshots showing the issue.
In a millimeter-based scene with a model around 90–105 mm wide, the default
Comb scale = 0.10
makes the curvature comb extremely large and unusable. After manually reducing it to around 0.0003
, the comb becomes readable and useful. The problem is that this value resets after reopening the scene, so I have to adjust it manually every time I use Toggle Curvature.
This is not obvious either. Experienced users may eventually find the setting in the Curvature panel, but new users may simply think the curvature analysis is broken.
Suggested solution:
- Make the curvature comb display scale adaptive to the current view, zoom level, and selected/visible geometry.
- Keep manual control in the Curvature panel, but make it work as a relative multiplier: larger/smaller compared to the adaptive scale.
- Add an Auto/Fit option when Toggle Curvature is activated, so the user does not have to search through the side panel.
- Optionally store the manual adjustment per document, together with Auto/Fit behavior.
I would avoid a purely global saved Comb Scale value, because a scale that works for a small product model may become invisible on a much larger model.
The main issue is not just remembering the number. The display scale should remain readable across different model sizes.
