Import SVG files as curves/curves network

Such importing would enable boolean operations for logos and texts; along with many other objects that can easily be created in Vector design softwares like Inkscape.
Since many artists brand their artworks by embossing/debossing their intials/name/logos onto their 3D designs, this will be very helpful as such branding is done in multiple projects.

This would be amazing to have, please make it happen :>

YES PLEASE! +1 for svg import

I'm testing importing SVG to Blender and Exporting to .3dm (v6/v7) Cost is 12$ https://www.digital-sculptors.com/cms/index.php/software/blender-plugins/70-export-3dm-addon-for-blender.html and reimporting to Plasticity, but unfortunately i think it is unable to read the 3dm files saved as v6 or v7. MoI using 3dm v5 and Plasticity read them. Rhino6/7 3DM file format to Rhino5 3DM file format (MOI3D compatible) converter did not help.

Or simply copy and paste paths from vector software. As MoI resolved it.

It would be a welcome feature.

Just adding a thumbs-up to this request. Jumping through the SVG-to-STEP hoop is kind of a time waster and Illustrator is indispensable for putting together complex curves quickly. Especially in a "for artists" tool.

there is a github page where you can convert SVG to STEP files then import in Plasticity (github.com/iskwmsy/svg2step) works for me (unfortunatelly, the fold-unfold is not working properly and a custom logo "engraving" is not so easy)

Baganoes: This works great, bridges the gap for now. I literally had no way to create step files as Blender doesn't have viable addons for it.

Yes please, this would be an amazingly helpful feature.

very much, SVG, DWG, illustrator8 files (which for some reason seems to be the standard :D ) whatever it is, some common vector format.
