Nick Kallen: Thanks! Happy to see this going into Plasticity!

But why not just use a line to measure all of these…? It does the same thing? So confused by why this is upvoted so much.

Clayspace: Measurement lines clutter the workspace and some features are hard to measure by eye with sketching tools

This is indeed a critical function for any CAD application!

In general, there are not enough constraints in building a 2D sketch.
Not so that they are created automatically, but so that they can be entered manually when they are needed.
And changing the size of the created line so that the dimensions can be clearly marked.
Maybe) Maybe it’s just a habit, of course it’s convenient to just move it, but sometimes you want it and your insides just itch.
When you make a design, in some projects you still focus on the dimensions and you need to somehow be able to clearly see them and conveniently adjust them.
Projects are different, so in the code for artists there is no need to pile up the interface or make a cult out of these functions, as in other codes, where without dimensions it is impossible to even move anything, but the functions themselves should probably still be there.

I was a bit disappointed that v1.2 did not have this type of feature. As someone coming from Tinkercad to artistic software, I love the filets and champers. My math brain is still stuck on needing to know a 20x20x20 cube is still 20x20x20. It would be really nice if I need to adjust it to 20x10x20, I could change it just by modifying a number, not redrawing or cutting the square. After the Blender Bridge, I think this would be a great addition and encourage more 3D printing folks to use Plasticity. It would be worth the investment in next version.

Would be so helpful for 3D printing. Functionality like the Measurement Tool in Onshape perhaps.
