Merge splited edges on solid a.k.a Merge function from moi3d

this is necessary to clean the topology, because if this is not done, then when extruding, unnecessary faces will appear further

In the next release, deleting edges will more aggressively remove redundant topology. There will also be a new command Delete Redundant which can apply to whole shells.
Note that redundant topology does not usually affect extrude, loft, etc. in Parasolid, unlike MoI. You will see it in obj export tho

I agree that this would be useful, but in my experience ~95% of the time you can "merge" split edges on a surface or solid by clicking on one of the edges and pressing 'x' or "delete". The kernel seems like it will attempt to dissolve the edge to the best of its ability.
There are a few cases where this doesn't work, of course, and I'm not totally certain you could actually "merge" the edges without losing some geometric definition information... but I'm not in with all the math behind it.

Graham: For me its not 95 percents. If you have problem on straight edge and you need patch hole, you will have problems becouse hole with that problem have more 4 edges and you will needed to create curves from that edges

Graham: And another possibility of using this function for clearer obj topology export.Wthere you have this splited edge you will have vertex on obj topology, and you need to clear mesh in polygonal program more
