This is a general request, but I'm making it specifically for a tool I use a lot.
Offset
Every time I use it, I have to change the GAP FILL type from ROUND (default) to LINEAR (which is what I usually use). It's not a game-changer, but it would save a lot of clicks and prevent the occasional oversight caused by rushed, incorrect geometry.
My proposal is that the GAP FILL default settings can be configured in one of the following ways; any of them would work for me:
  • Save settings from session to session (I think this would be the most convenient)
--> Here's a variation that would provide flexibility: a kind of TEMPLATES system where you configure the tools as you like and save the file as a TEMPLATE, which is the one that opens by default.
Or
  • Configure default options through the settings menu.
Or
  • Configure settings using parameters.
This happens with other tools too; the selected options are NOT saved from session to session, and you have to configure them each time you use a particular tool. This mainly affects me with the OFFSET tool, but I imagine something similar happens with other tools... The chosen method (I think the most practical would be to SAVE THE OPTIONS FROM SESSION TO SESSION)
