Shrinkwrap

A shrinkwrap tool that works similar to Blender shrink modifier, would be useful for reverse engineering. This feature should work on both polygon mesh and NURBS as the target, the source in this case is a NURBS. I want to shrinkwrap selected CVs to my target object in X,Y,Z. If no CVs are selected then assume I want to shrinkwrap all CVs in that sheet. In my image I want shrinkwrap all the CVs in this sheet along the X axis to my target object(a polygonal mesh).

It would not just be extremely handful to convert SubD meshes or scans to high quality ones for 3d printing (as an example), but with nurbs/cirves guide control it would make a radical revolution when it comes to retopology tools, where control curves could be used as guides for the wished retopo edge flow.

It would be great for this to work with curves too. Project the Curves CV unto a surface.

This is a must IMHO... Please consider this feature

This would be super!

Since you cant edit an imported stl file directly, I can see where this would come in handy for recreating an imported mesh into plasticity sheets without tracing over a lot of the lines.
