Thank you sooo much for this!
The icing on the cake would be the ability to use the meshes in boolean operations. Imagine designing a poly model grip and being able to cut CAD model out of it to create a perfect 3D printable slide on grip!

I have some project's idea to make armor from human importend model! I can't wait for this feature

Thanks for doing that. I hope it will snap to vertices, polygons and edges. In future I hope it will have snapping offset so f.e. it will snap 1mm over the object - like background constraint in Modo. Cheers!!!

Is there an estimated timeline for this feature to be implemented?

I would like to have an extra snapping option that only snaps on mesh vertices. Being able to import obj or stl without being able to snap to its vertices makes this import feature quite useless imho.

I would love to have this, my current workflow is doing a dirty 3D sketch in Zbrush or Blender to test shapes quickly and then importing it to Plasticity and create curves for surfacing, it gives great results but it takes a lot of time because you have to manually move every point in the curves to make sure they are where they're supossed to be, even if you still have to do some manual editing after, having some snapping capabilities when creating curves would be a huge time saver.

It would also be great if it were possible to project a curve onto an imported polygonal model. But I'm not sure if this request is related to the "Snap to OBJ Meshes" topic, maybe it should be a separate request....
