Subdivision Surface modeling

The title speaks for itself. This feature set is wide and I'd love to see this after surfacing tools are perfected first. There are many great SDS modeler in Plasticity so with their input we can create a finely tune SDS modeling experience, something that seem lacking in other CAD apps in terms of UX.

Yes this would defenetly help in many aspects of work, appreciate this!

I'd welcome this, and probably for use in other 3d apps that don't support NURBS or Parametric Surfaces

Be careful with subdivisions, this is a good tool, but it will not replace the skill of making high-quality surfaces in the classical way.

Dmitriy Dyakov: I agree, it just a option that should be added after the surfacing tools are perfected in Plasticity. I am a huge fan of Alias surfacing tools.

First we need classic surfaces (such as in Alias, CATIA, Rhino, MoI3D), and then subdivisions. Subdivisions are very convenient and fast in design, but the quality of surface mating and the topology of marking patch boundaries is not very good.

The Blender bridge will likely be the way Plasticity goes when it comes to copy-pasting sds geometry with creases from your application of choice into Plasticity. Other bridges for other software like Max, Maya & Modo would have to be built by the community
