Adding the support for multirail and multiprofile would make the sweep tool much more versatile also for surface modelling, where especially a multi profile sweep is a very common tool.

So I'm going to consider this feature request only a request for multi rail. For multi profile, please refer to the other story (linked below). (Multi profile is much more effort, so for me it's easier to divide this into two feature requests)
